I am so humbled and excited to be able to express how I feel about Mount Vernon Missionary Baptist Church! The biggest thing for me is that the love is genuine and it is felt every time we come together. I have never experienced that to this extent and it is such a great feeling! What also stuck out to me and continues to make me feel at home is the noticable love and support of our Pastor, Pastor Aaron G. McCoy. I feel like all of those attributes of this church is why we have such a blessed congregation and I am so honored to be a part of it.

WHAT OUR MEMBERS SAY ...
I still remember the first Sunday I came to Mount Vernon, it was just so heartwarming. The usher
greeted me at the door with this great big smile and I had to tell her I don’t sit in the back! She started laughing and told me I could sit anywhere! I can’t say anything except for the fact that I LOVE coming to this church. Pastor McCoy and the members treat me like I’m family. When I was in my car accident, the phone calls, the prayers and the overflow of love just meant so much to me. I really have a church family! Mount Vernon reminds me of churches back in the day, people have the freedom to stand and testify of the goodness of God and a lot of churches don’t do that anymore. And ooooh the Hymn Choir, hearing them sing those hymns on Sunday touches my heart every time! I know at Mount Vernon Missionary Baptist Church that when praises go up, blessings come down and I am a witness to that...and that’s why I come to worship at Mount Vernon every Sunday.
